New Cross-Platfrom Keyloggers Are Out

  December 20th, 2005

Feeling the urge to spy on backup some keystrokes? DesignREM has released a corporate version of the KeyPhantom, taking the onboard memory from 128KB to 512KB and boosting the processing power to 90 million instructions per second - because it "just has to be faster" than an iPod nano.

The $269 KeyPhantom is compatible with both Mac and PC USB keyboards, able to be accessed via any text editor simply by typing the password. You can also firmware upgrade it via a Windows utility. Of course the most important thing about the KeyPhantom is it's guise of a USB extension cable, since unsuspecting users don't need to know their work is being monitored backed up.

A more expensive $349 Forensic edition is also availabe that has a whole 2Mb of flash memory as well as the classic $200 Home edition.
