The story goes like this. Somone at Keyspan built his mighty MCE box from scratch and buried deep inside a cabinet. Thinking he has everything thought through, he just realizes his infrared receiver isn't picking up signals from the remote due to not in line of sight. He then figures building a new 433Mhz RF remote for himself that can easily penetrates walls and most importantly furniture at a max. range of 60 ft. This allows him to control his MCE rig in the AV closet. Here it is - the RF Remote for Windows Vista. Its curvy shape reminds me of Microsoft's MCE remote debuted some years ago. So, it's not exactly the most appealing remote I've seen, but it should work right out of the box. No software needed, but Keyspan wants your $49 first. The question is whether you will want another remote or simply get the MX Air uber-mouse, remote hybrid.
