Kingston has been known for many years for their high performance HyperX series of memory modules for computers. In an attempt to bring some speed to USB Flash drives, they have unveiled their new DataTraveler HyperX USB Drive, available in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB flavors. The drive boasts 30MB/s read and 20MB/s write speeds. One would have hoped that the introduction of a new line of products would be able to keep up with other options currently available, but the OCZ ATV Turbo still leaves it in the dust on write speeds. Kingston also announced the new DataTraveler 400 series of drives which is meant for users on the go who wish to keep their files synched between multiple computers. The drive is bundled with MigoSync software which aids synchronization and provides access to email on a guest computer even if the mail client isn't same. The SecureTraveler software is also included to create a password protected zone on the flash drive for privacy and security. Read/Write speeds are an average 20MB/s and 10MB/s respectively.
