Kodak has debuted a new heavy-duy scanner that will help you cut expense on data entry jobs. The new Kodak i1440 is the type of scanner that can handle 10,000 documents of all kinds and shaps on a daily basis. Kodak claims you can feed a page as long as 20 ft. long. While the resolution isn't anything to write home about, the duplex i1440 can scan up to a breath-taking 75 pages per minute. Other features are more business-oriented such as the ability to rotate scanned image for correct orientation and to imprint tracking info directly on the source documents as they pass through the scanner. Last but not least, if you just want to crop the photo from a stack of application form, the i1440 can automatically locate, extract and output the photos as a separate image files. We suppose the photos are always in the same spot. To keep up with the new scanning speed, you'll need to fork out $8495. Ouch... About Everything USB
