Logitech is rolling out their Fall peripheral line-up one by one, starting with Logitech Alto Connect and notebook bags. Today, it's touting their new QuickCams going to be using Carl Zeiss autofocus optics lens under a long-term, exclusive collaboration between the companies. We can't attest the quality of the image quality yet, but autofocus surely is always a welcome change from manual ring. It would seem manufacturers finally realize we don't sit still in front of the webcam. Logitech is also claiming both the QuickCam Pro 9000 and the lappy-friendly QuickCam Pro for Notebooks are jumping to 2-megapixel sensor which incorrectly bumps the max. video resolution to 960x720 where it should've been 1600x1200. The cams reportedly have an "ultra-wide" field of view (we just don't know how wide it is yet). The notebook-version can be attached to the bundled 12" stand for desktop use when not clipped to a LCD. Demo video after the jump.
