LTB Magnum 5.1 USB Headphones, Not so Great

  May 18th, 2007

DON'T MISS

There are few things that can bring more immersion to your PC games and more enjoyment to your movies than surround sound. The problem is that surround sound headphones for PC often require special sound cards that not all computers have. This is where USB powered headphones like the LTB Magnum 5.1 headphones come in. Techgage reviewed the headphones recently and found that while they are convenient, only requiring a single USB connection they are lacking for PC gaming due to bass issues, but performed well for some movie watching and acceptable for music with not much bass. In the end the reviewer says if your PC has 5.1 outputs, don’t waste your money on the LTB headphones but if you are on a notebook they may be worth a look. That is assuming you can’t find a better set for less money, personally I would go for the Tritton USB headphones we recently reviewed.
