  May 1st, 2006

mSystems - the creator of DiskOnKey - has launched mTrust Manager billed as the first complete central management system for USB drives. The mTrust system includes a number of tools any administrator of a network using USB drive will welcome. Among the features, the one that caught our attention is to ability for an admin to remote terminate the flash drive should it falls into the wrong hands.

Compatible USB drives are currently available from Kingston's DataTraveler Elite - Privacy Edition (the one that can self-destruct) and Verbatim's Store 'n' Go Corporate Secure USB drive. The mTrust system is also compatible with mDrives (renamed from DiskOnKey) from leading manufacturers. Other features of the nTrust Manager include:

  • Synchronization with corporate Directory Services
