Mac USB TV Adds Tight iPod Video Integration

  February 15th, 2006

Miglia EvolutionTV - the first wave of Hi-Speed USB TV tuners exclusively for Mac - has been updated to include iTunes integration plug-in, which is like how Podner puts converted video into a designated playlist. The external video device simply captures video into iPod's friendly MPEG-4 SP format without further conversions. While iPod video support is pretty crucial nowadays, the new EvolutionTV 2.6 software retains all the MPEG-2 and DivX compression methods.

Miglia's self-powered (requires AC adapter) TV also packs S-video in, composite in and worldwide PAL/NTSC/SECAM signal compatibility. In addition it does record scheduling thru Apple's iCal. The latest update requires Tiger though; no words on whether it's a Universal Binary patch.
