MSI's Tunes Powered by the Sun

  March 14th, 2006

MSI's Tunes Powered by the SunMSI has found a new power source for their 4GB HDD MP3 player, and that is solar power. While larger than many popular players, the solar MP3 player will be ideal for people that spend time in areas without electricity or are away from home often.

The solar MSI Mega uses a passive CSTN LCD display that uses very little power to improve on run time. The back of the device is covered with solar panels, which recharge the battery under sunlight. For charging the player at night a USB cable is included as well. This new method of recharging seems like a somewhat useful feature for people who leave their players on the car's dashboard.
