Aimed at making users more productive and making work easier, the Office Keyboard features many enhancements over traditional keyboards. Some features unique to the Office Keyboard are the keyboard scroll wheel, enhanced function keys, and office XP integration. Microsoft also included the standard features found on most higher-end keyboards, such as programmable buttons, and sleep mode.
The single touch pad allows the user to program internet shortcuts, as well as common commands like copy and paste; the keyboard scroll wheel works like a mouse wheel and allows the user to scroll through documents and such. The Office Keyboard also features optimized support for Office XP and its features.
The Office Keyboard is both Windows and MacOS compatible, and also supports USB as well as PS/2 for Windows-based machines; USB support is mantanory for Mac.
Microsoft will start selling the Office Keyboard in September 2001 and it will run for roughly $64.95. There are also other keyboards available from Microsoft, such as the Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro.
