[url=http://www.sonicblue.com/]SONICblue[/url] today has announced the successor to the first high-profiled MP3 player, Rio 300. Called the [url=http://www.everythingusb.com/hardware/index/SonicBlue_Rio_One_32MB.htm]Rio One[/url], the new $99 MP3 player has added USB and WMA support, both of which the Rio 300 lacks.
The Rio One is SONICblue's solution to low-priced portable digital audio, with 32MB of built-in memory, as well as support for external Smart Media cards. Also included with the Rio One are a USB cable, one AA battery, ear phones, and audio management software.
"As a first mover and leader in the MP3 market, we believe that the Rio brand represents a level of excellence unmatched by any of its competitors," said Janet Leising, vice president of marketing and business development, SONICblue. "The Rio One doesn't compromise on functionality and quality, and is by far the entry-MP3 player winner."
The Rio One will be available shortly from major retailers, and priced at $99.
