USB Flash Drives to Rule Solid-state in '05

A new market forecast conducted by Gartner Dataquest reveals between 67 and 120 million USB flash drives are expected to ship in 2005, producing 2 to 3 billion dollars in revenue worldwide. The numbers reportedly will surpass sales figures of SD and Memory Stick. The USB Flash Drive Alliance also indicates that the next Microsoft Windows release, code-named Longhorn, will integrate data exchange features such as mail and file synchronization for flash drives.
