Iomega has debuted its first Hi-Speed USB external burner that writes dual-layer DVD+R (DVD+R DL) capable of storing 8.5GB data. In addition to dual layer support, the new Super DVD USB 2.0 also gets a boost to write DVD+R at 12x and DVD-R at 8x, comparing to 8x writing and 4x DVD-R writing of its predecessor.
Though, Iomega didn’t specify burning speed on the DVD+R DL media. Sources say the new Iomega drive might be supporting dual layer at 2.4x.Filed under DVD & CD Writers
