Logitech Gives Digital Pen Another Try

  September 13th, 2004

Logitech Gives Digital Pen Another TryLogitech has not dropped the idea of jotting digitally. The new io2, unveiled today, improves on the original 2-year old io Personal Digital Pen with a sleeker design and software. Now, Logitech says you’ll feel more like a hold a pen when writing with the io2.

Basically, the pen has a tiny camera that registers its movements on a special paper that stores the coordinates into the 2MB memory, which has room for 40 pages or 200 service forms. When docked, USB will recharge io2’s battery, and the software will try its best to make out your handwritten notes, tables and charts. Password protection is available if you fear io2 will slip out of your pocket.
