For some, using a laptop’s trackpad is not natural, and using those mini-sized mice is not really an option unless you have extremely small hands. Logitech’s newest portable mouse, the V500 looks to address this problem while adding some appealing innovations.
To begin, the V500 has an expandable aluminum chassis that rises seven degrees (1/4”) for comfortable usage, and collapses back to the original form for travel. The wireless Micro-Receiver works at distances up to 30’, and locks into the base of the mouse when not in use to prevent accidental loss. Finally, the scroll wheel is solid state, much like the iPod or Studio Mouse; only it supports continuous scrolling in all four directions.
