FPGamerunner – Exercise for FPS Gamers

  November 3rd, 2004

Your level 42 mage can walk across continents to complete a quest no problem, but you can barely get up for a soda? You may be in need of the FPGamerunner, a USB treadmill that works with any FPS game as shown in this video.

Movement is accomplished by walking, and by holding buttons while walking you can also strafe and backtrack. Turn the handlebars for horizontal mouselook, and twist the throttle grip for vertical. To activate an item or fire your weapon, there are dedicated buttons and triggers at your fingertips. When you’re done playing, the unit can be folded up for convenient storage as well.

Sound crazy? Tell that to the gamers who play Dance Dance Revolution and Nintendo Track and Field.
