Keyspan Remote Controls AirTunes, More

  November 11th, 2004

When Apple released the AirPort Express base station, we got the ability to stream our iTunes music to our home stereos over 802.11g. However, you had to be in the same room as the computer to control the music – until now.

With Keyspan's new $59 Express Remote, you just plug in the receiver to the USB port on the AirPort Express, and with the remote you can remotely control your tunes at distances up to 40' away via infrared.

Like the Keyspan remotes before it, you can also plug the receiver into your PC or Mac to take control of applications such as Windows Media Player, EyeTV, MusicMatch, PowerPoint, or even make your own keymap for your favorite application.
