Parvus USB 104+ Delivers 2A of Current

  December 6th, 2004

Parvus Corp has just added its own contribution to the USB platform, the USB 104+. A supercharged 4-port USB 2.0 compliant host, the new controller can provide the traditional paltry 500mA to two ports, while the other two boast a whopping 2A of current. This means that printers, scanners, or any other device that draws under 2A can be powered directly through the USB port without the need for bulky power bricks.

Designed for the embedded market, the USB 104+ controller will reside on the 3.55” x 3.775” PC/104-Plus board that features stackable PCI and ISA busses to eliminate large footprints, and will be available early next year.
