Apple has made a few changes to its iPod lineup by slashing prices and bumping storage.
For beginners, Apple has cut the price for its admittedly overpriced 60GB iPod Photo from $599 to $449. The iPod 40GB has been removed entirely, replaced by a slimmer 30GB iPod Photo for $349. In addition, iPod Photo will finally take advantage of USB OTG, directly connecting to cameras with a $29 cable due out next month. The iPod mini also saw some improvement with a new 6GB iPod Mini at $249, and the updated 4GB model reduced to $199. The gold version is no longer being sold.
FireWire connectivity is only available now through the purchase of an optical cable, as Apple has chosen to rely solely on Hi-Speed USB for out of the box synchronization and charging.More MP3 Players
