The new MP3 player sports a 20GB hard drive which can hold more than 5000 songs, according to the company. Cosmetically speaking, the Riot has the biggest form factor among its competitors, like the Creative NOMAD JukeBox and ARCHOS JukeBox 6000. In addition to the spacious storage, Riot features a FM tuner, Li-ion rechargeable battery, 240x160 back-lit display and LogiTrack interface. SONICBlue claims the exclusive LogiTrack will ease the process of finding a song by remembering all your music preferences and allowing you to sort your songs by different criterias -- album, year, genre, and etc. Riot's 16MB SDRAM buffer delivers up to 12 minutes of skip protection, and saves battery life by caching the entire song into the memory. The retail package also packs with headphones, a custom carrying case, RealJukeBox and iTunes for Mac. Riot is compatible with both MP3 and WMA format, and is ready to support Audible spoken audio content in the future. Incidentally, Riot is still USB 1.1 compatible. Riot is priced at $399.95, and will be available at the end of Feburary 2002.
