Nike & iPod Team Up to Track Your Workout

  May 24th, 2006

WE RECOMMEND
Nike and Apple have teamed up to integrate the iPod and special Nike+ shoes together to track your run. The special Nike shoes use an accelerometer to measure your activity and send it to your iPod nano. If you like to run, this may be a great product for you.

Nike+ shoes have a special pocket under the insole of the shoe that is specially made for the Nike+ iPod sensor. Once placed into the shoe the accelerometer measures your activity and transmits it to your iPod wirelessly. From the images it looks like the data recorded is speed, distance and pace. Other information may be available, but the Nike site has no details.
