Oregon's USB Cubic DECT Telephone

  December 27th, 2005

FM alarm clocks are a dime a dozen these days, but when Oregon Scientific throws in a calendar, MP3 player and a DECT phone we think they're on to something. The CU328 Cubic Telephone has an intriguing design; The unit itself is a wireless speaker phone powered by rechargeable batteries, whose stereo ring tones can be personalized by MP3 and WMA files loaded over USB or SecureDigital cards.

As an alarm clock, up to 15 radio presets can be remembered, as well as 2 alarm dates. Of course what makes or breaks an alarm clock is the inclusion of a snooze button, which thankfully this Cube has. Oregon has yet to update their website to include this model, but when Googling "Oregon CU328" a few retailers show up in the EU.
