Philips Intros First Remote for Vista SideShow

Philips Intros First Remote for Vista SideShowEarly adopters buying Windows Vista for it's new DRM CableCard abilities may want to take a gander at the new remote controls to accompany the platform, more specifically those that support Vista's lesser-known SideShow that allows users to check cached contacts, recent emails and schedules even when the PC is turned off. Philips will be the first company to roll out a such a remote, with their bidirectional radio frequency SRM7500 due out sometime this quarter. In addition to basic SideShow functionality, the remote can navigate through all of MediaCenter's typical features such as playlists on its monochrome 6-line display, and control a wide variety of consumer electronics as a universal remote.
