Here's a treat for you JumpDrive Lightning owners. Starting today, Lexar is giving out full version of PowerToGo - its private-branded mobile software platform developed by Ceedo. Simply install the PowerToGo trial on the Lightning 1GB or 2GB, and it will automatically upgrade itself to full version. If you only have a JumpDrive Secure II, you can test the PowerToGo for 60-days before you have to pay $29.99.
Even though the Lightning peaks at 23MB/s read, Lexar still discourages people from running the PowerToGo inside the 256-bit AES encrypted partition. Everything might presumably slow down significantly. Lexar also recommends FAT16 as the file system as it performs faster for small files. Grab PTG now.
