Saitek Obsidian Wireless Mouse Scrolls with no Wheel

  April 18th, 2007

Saitek has a really cool new mouse called the Obsidian that one really unique feature. The scroll wheel is given up in favor of a four-way touch sensitive scroll pad. The sides of the mouse have buttons that are hidden well to control browser forward and back as well. In all the Obsidian has five buttons and uses RF wireless technology. Saitek uses two separate lithium-ion batteries so you never run out of paper and don’t have to remember to charge a single mouse each night, which is the same method that Logitech uses with their wireless G7 gaming mouse. Unlike the G7 the Obsidian is not intended for gaming with a max resolution of 1000 dpi. The mouse is compatible with both Windows and Mac and is available for about $50.
