There are incentives to keep consumer electronics small and portable. On the other hand, there isn't much of a reason for manufacturers to reduce the size of printers as they don't need a lot of portability. Samsung however seems to believe a smaller printer is cute which many female geeks dig. Its latest CLP-315K takes home the title of the smallest color laser printer, which is 20% more compact than its predecessor. It can print up to 2400 x 600 dpi at 17 ppm in black and at 4 ppm in color, and its photo quality has reportedly significantly. The other model is a laser AIO; the CLX-3175FNK is 40% smaller than previous generation, and is able to print from memory stick. Interestingly, we don't know exactly the exact dimensions of the Samsung printers other than what the company told us that they are just smallest of all. About Everything USB
