Samsung Shows Sexy, Shiny Laser Printers

  September 3rd, 2007

Laser printers tend to all be ugly boxy devices with flat black or off white cases that lack anything close to tasteful design. Samsung has announced a new line of printers that will look right at home inside a froufrou office setting. In addition to being clad in shiny, sexy black housings, Samsung also lays claim to the title of world’s thinnest monochrome laser printer with the ML-1630 at only 11cm thick.

The printers look a bit like pianos in color and design. Rather than buttons Samsung uses soft-touch sensors to clean up the overall appearance of the printers. To make clearing paper jams easier the printers also use a semi-automatic slide out cassette. No word on print speeds or pricing, hopefully they didn’t overlook those specs for the sake of an attractive design.
