Color screen is pretty much standard feature on high-end MP3 player. It's no surprise Samsung puts on the 5GB YH-820 as well. Its 1.6" LCD is able to display JPEG at 128 x 96 in 65,000 colors. The XP-exclusive MP3 player also doubles as a voice recorder; records MP3 thru line-in; and plays well with subscription-based service like Napster To Go.

"Great versatility in small package, plus photos & voice memo" I highly recommend this unit
I am typically an early adopter when it comes to electronic toys and tools. I have been researching MP3 players since they came onto the scene. This 5 GB player, with photo (although small - the 20 GB version has a larger screen)viewing capability and voice memo, is the best deal going. I recently saw (it's gone now) a deal on line at Best Buy for only $199.
The sound quality is good, the menu choices easy (although I haven't figured a way to do shuffle play) and the battery life seems good. The screen is clear, shows Artist, Album, Track and time.
Plus, it's light and small enough to fit in your pocket and it hasn't skipped on me yet, even at 4.5 mph on the treadmill. The unit also comes with a belt clip and the charger cord is integrated with the USB cable for synching. It is nice to have a "line in" option for recording directly from a device.
