Sandisk Cruzer Titanium Plus (HW Encryption in, U3 out)

  January 5th, 2008

DON'T MISS

Sandisk's latest flash drive offering - Cruzer Titanium Plus - has two revisions that seem somewhat odd to us. First, the Plus has colored gold, not exactly the original color of titanium - the rugged material used for the thumbdrive chassis. Second, Sandisk has stopped bundling U3 on their drives starting with the Titanium Plus. Those who scold about the incompetency of U3 platform can turn their target elsewhere, but U3 installer remains a free-for-all for Plus owners.

Only available in 4GB, the Titanium Plus has built-in AES hardware encryption and automatic online backup-up service. The former is beginning to become a mainstream feature while the latter service is handled by Beinsync which stores your data on Amazon servers.
