Skuku USB SIM Stick Saves $$$ on Roaming Calls

Many cell phone users look for any way they can find to save money on their phone bills. If you have to place lots of roaming or international calls, your cellular phone bill can be a major expense each month. A company called Skuku has a new USB Phone that accepts the SIM card from your mobile phone and allows you to make roaming calls over your computer and only pay local rates. Cool eh?

Skuku also offers a flash drive-like device that plugs into the USB port and requires the use of speakers and a mic for calls called the Skuku Stick. The Stick sells for $15 and pricing for the Skuku USB handset is unknown at this time. The Skuku USB handset sounds much like the IPEVO Free-1 USB handset. However, the IPEVO handset doesn’t need a SIM card. The Skuku service for the Stick costs €10 per month, and we would imagine the service for the USB handset would be the same price.
