We used to worry about the inevitable nuclear war. Starting now I'm preparing for the robot insurrection. Sony, who'll be the first against the wall when the revolution comes, has released the ultra slim DSC-TX1 digital camera which has the ability to dock with its PartyShot device. This device ties into the face, smile and blink sensors built into the TX1 and when all 3 converge it will take a picture all by itself. It can tilt up and down more than 20 degrees and can track left to right the full 360 degrees. We human photographers are now obsolete. The DSC-TX1 camera, one of only 2 that are announced to be compatible with the PartyShot, complements the Robo-dock well. It has a completely new Exmor-R CMOS sensor which boasts twice the performance in low light conditions and packs new anti-shake functions as well. Perfect for indoor get-togethers or other social gatherings. The TX1 has more than a few other exciting new features like built in panorama stitching and 10fps burst mode. All this costs you a premium, $380 for the camera and $150 for the PartyShot dock and should be available in a few months. - Get Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX1 (silver) now for $379.99 at Sony Electronics, Inc.
