If you are the owner of one of Sony’s line of HDD camcorders, having to connect your camcorder to your PC to burn the video to disk can be a bit of a pain. Sony feels you and has a new DVD burner called the VRD-MC5 that connects directly to their AVCHD HD camcorders via USB. Once connected you can burn to DVD with a single button press, can’t get much easier than that. The burner has a 2.5” LCD, Firewire, S-Video and memory stick slots covering SD/SDHC, xD, CF plus Sony’s own formats. The burner will write to normal DVDs as well as the small 8cm DVDs that the Sony direct to DVD camcorders use. The VRD-MC5 is sat for release on August 10th for a price of $247.About Everything USB
