Terratec Headset Master 5.1 USB Headset Sort of Works

If you are after some surround sound goodness for your PC or laptop without having to resort to actual surround sound speakers and the required wiring Terratec has a completely USB headphone set that is 5.1 surround sound capable. I can say from experience with other surround sound headphones that it is hard to pull off surround sound that is convincing when the speakers are so close together. A review of the Headset Master 5.1 USB headphones over at Gadgetcentre.com found the same things that I normally do on this type of headphone. Namely the sound was hit and miss, they work well for PC gaming and not so well when it comes to watching movies on the PC. Being completely USB powered is a plus since no external power adapter is required nor is a sound card. That said you can get better looking surround sound USB headphones in the likes of the Tritton 5.1 headphones.
