USB Teen Diary with Heavy Encryption

  January 27th, 2006

USB Teen Diary with Heavy EncryptionGirls in their teen years will probably think this is a godsend. This is ThoughtSafe - a flash drive with PKI-based hardware encryption especially designed to safeguard their precious privacy. This should be technologically similar to an enterprise-grade flash drive except the ThoughtSafe is targeting at a different market.

Besides its overkill security, the ThoughtSafe bundles its own MSN Messenger interface and of course, an electronics diary reminiscent to a blog. Also included are an address book, photo albums, and even a secure backup program. We reckon the backup is going to be encrypted with 256-bit AES. Additionally, teens can sign up a subscription service called InfoBar which provides daily updates (likely via RSS) to celebrity profiles, b-days, gossip, horoscopes and etc.

Last but not least is an "Eyes Off" button that instantly 'close' a diary if someone behind is peeking. Price for privacy? $59.95 AUD for 128MB version.
