USB-powered LED Aquarium Desk Lamp

  July 5th, 2006

If you want the aquarium look, without actually having to clean up fish poo, the Aquarium Desk Lamp will do the job. Just think of all the stress you can reduce by looking at the little plastic fish and three color choices for water plants. Nothing better than a big container of water sitting near your precious PC.

The Aqua-Lamp is an odd USB peripheral. It houses two fake fish that float around inside the aquarium body of the lamp housing. The lamp itself is made up of 17 individual LED lights. You can choose from three different light colors, or let the colors change automatically. If you don't need the desk lamp portion it can be collapsed down to light the water of the aquarium. You do have to decide which color of water plant you wish to buy from green, orange, and blue. The lamp is Windows XP/2000 and Mac OS compatible when a USB port is available. Pricing is 2,480 yen.
