Shocked Straight by USB

  November 30th, 2005

Shocked Straight by USBInspired by Spyhunter: Bad user! Bad! No more downloading for you, and watch your typing! Ever say this to yourself? You may be in need of a shock collar BuzzTrainer to reprimand your naughty ways. Yes it seems that PC addiction has sunken to a new level, and the only way out is to be treated like a dog. Japan's Taiyo has developed a wrist strap (much like an anti-static grounding strap) fed from the USB's 5V rail.

The system comes with tutorials for learning Windows XP, MS Word, and Internet Explorer, and can be set to shock for keywords in order to control chat room activity. Entire applications can be blacklisted to initiate a spark, and more advanced triggers can be defined through scripting.

Believe it or not this is also marketed as a new form of acupressure to target the pressure points on the wrists. Of course the children who need training the most are not advised to use the BuzzTrainer, and neither are the pregnant or those with pacemakers. Now correct us if we're wrong, but isn't the only reason a dog puts up with these systems because they can't take it off them self? Look for a shackled version in the future.
