Desk Lamp that Recharges USB Gadgets

  December 20th, 2006

As more and more gadgets move towards having the ability to recharge from the ubiquitous USB port it seems we are soon to begin seeing other items that include a USB port for charging the gadgets. Take this SI561 desk lamp for example, while the lamp is not yet available but has been cleared for the US by the FCC. Not only does the lamp have a standard AC outlet on it for plugging in things like your laptop, it also has a USB port built in that can charge your phone, PDA or camera. Pretty cool and it will save your from having to decide which item plugged into your surge protector you can most do without.
