Japanese USB Heating Seat Pad

Tatami mats are a traditional form of carpeting found in homes around Japan. In olden times, Japanese life centered around tatami; pretty much most of daily activities take place in this tatami-carpeted rooms. Instead of sitting on sofa or armchairs, people sit or kneel down on soft seating pads. Now, you know what this doormat lookalike is all about, and this USB version is supposedly to keep us warm during winter times.

By plugging to a USB port, the mat will reportedly heat up to around 36 and 38 degree Celsius. However, it might not be able to distribute the temperature evenly due to a lack of steady current drawn from the USB port. (Well, whatever they said). The pad itself is made of special material which can prevent fire, electric shock, or any kind of skin injury.

This product also has health benefits, or so they said. "It will supposedly enhance our blood circulation, improve our natural healing ability and activate our metabolic reactions."
