The USB humidifier basically generates moist air with "Ultrasonic Vibrating Mesh Technology", which in layman terms, utilizes a filter to vibrate and vaporize water at ultrasonic frequency at around 135Khz. Then the steam will dissipate through the top valve and will moisten the surrounding air. A failsafe feature turns off the device automatically after 2.5hrs. Our guess is that the humidifier will shut down when laptop's shut down.
