DIY USB Weather Clock for the Indoorsmen

  January 5th, 2007

WE RECOMMEND

If you’re a consummate indoorsman looking for a device to help you stay away from the great outdoors this weather clock can help you not have to go outside to check the weather. This DIY weather clock is made from an antique reproduction clock and some USB servo wizardry. The clock updates automatically via your PC USB port as the weather changes are made from the weather service. The only issue is that the weather service reports 40 conditions and this clock condenses them to 14. That said if you live in warmer climates like me you can do without the blizzard icon.
