Verbatim Adds Mandatory USB Drive Security

  August 31st, 2006

Say you're a network admin in a corporate environment and you know the security tools are available for users to secure their flash drives, but fear that some less technically inclined might not be using the security features. What do you do? Sit back and hope they get the axe if the drive is lost with sensitive data rather than you? How about switch to the new Verbatim Store 'n' Go Corporate Secure USB Drive. These flash drives are available in 1GB to 4GB capacities and the cool part for corporate types is that they have mandatory security, unlike some drives that offer security but leave it up to the user to execute. Users have no choice but to secure the data on their flash drives.

No forgetting, being too lazy or not knowing how to use the security features, if they use the Verbatim drive the data is secured. Period. OS compatibility is with Windows XP and 2000 SP4. Read speeds are up to 23 MB/s and write speeds are up to 14MB/s. Prices range from $79 to $269 depending on the capacity of the drive.
