Verizon Wireless recently launched their newest USB mobile EvDO broadband modem called the USB727. This modem is built by Novatel Wireless and is the first mobile broadband modem to feature a built-in microSD card slot for data storage. The USB727 supports up to 4GB of storage via microSD cards, but the card is not included.

The modem supports most all computers with a type A USB port including Windows, Linux, and Mac computers. The device has an integrated dual-band diversity antenna system with a flip-up antenna for maximum data transfer speed. Pricing for the USB727 will be $149.99 after a $50 mail in rebate and a 2-year contract. Service plans for the modem cost $59.99 a month. It appears the USB727 requires only one USB port like the AirCard 595U.
