USB Powered Volkswagens

  June 27th, 2006

So the USB powered VW won't keep you away form the pumps, but you can plug your USB powered audio devices directly into the car. With this cool feature you no longer have to go aftermarket for your iPod or notebook to be able to play through your car stereo.

Not only can the VW playback MP3players and other PMP device via its USB interface, but it can also play back music directly from USB memory sticks. Simply plug the USB stick into the USB port and play it via the cars stereo controls. It would also be really cool if the USB adapter could charge your USB devices at the same time, but it does not appear to be able to do so. Available in a number of VW vehicles in Europe exclusively through VWs Volkswagen Individual option line.
