Wacom Bamboo - Vista-Certified USB Tablet

Wacom Bamboo - Vista-Certified USB Tablet

After impressed by Vista's Tablet PC Input Panel, I guess I need a tablet more than a mouse for all the Chinese I'll need to write. The panel doesn't seem to care the stroke order, the lack of which makes things a whole lot easier for foreigners. Anyway, I found out this Wacam's latest USB tablet, heavily touted as the best friend of Vista. Bamboo named for unknown reasons is customized to work with aforementioned Vista built-in handwriting system, MS Journal 2007, Office 2007 and Gestures. Gestures actually supplement different keyboard and mouse functions (e.g. panning, scrolling, copy, paste, back, forward, undo and delete). The pen's FN2 key can also activate Flip3D which shows a cascading view of all active windows in Vista. The $140 Wacom Bamboo, given its rather small A6-sized active area, seems a bit small for something like Photoshop. If you plan to switch to Mac, the USB tablet also supports MacOS 10.3.9 or later.
