Today Western Digital is announcing the new My Book Pro II 1TB External USB HDD. We have talked about the My Book line of external drives before, though the latest version has much more storage space. WD's new 1TB My Book Pro II comes configured with RAID 0, spanning the data across both 500GB internal drives for a full 1TB or storage space. You can reconfigure the drive for RAID 1 to mirror your data on both the 500GB drives for data security. EMC Retrospect back up software is included as well. Connectivity is via USB 2.0, FireWire 400 and FireWire 800. The drive is both Mac and Windows compatible and the drives are both user serviceable. About Everything USB
