Western Digital Passport Portable 160 GB HDD is a sleek and shiny drive that is completely USB bus powered. Being bus powered means that the drive requires no external power adapter making it much easier to use on the go. WD says the drive weighs .23 pounds and measures in at .590 x 5.11 x 3.14 (H x L x W). The interface is via USB 2.0 and the transfer rate is 480 Mbits/s max. A 5400 rpm hard drive with a 2MB buffer and an average latency of 5.50 ms is what is used inside the attractive case. WD Sync software is included to sync the Passport with your computer and encrypt the data to protect against theft. The sleek new black case is much better looking than the older silver cased Passport drives if you ask me. About Everything USB
