Windows Logo Requirements for WUSB Start in June 2007

  May 4th, 2007

DON'T MISS

The Windows Logo Program updated and published the Logo Policies for WUSB that are set to go into effect on June 1, 2007. The requirements mark the first inclusion of WUSB into the Windows Logo Program for Hardware. There are lots of requirements to be in the program, check them at this link. A few of the requirements include that the device must pass all WiMedia Alliance compliance tests, native WUSB devices based on Certified Wireless USB spec must support all data rates, and that a device based on the certified WUSB spec must be self-beaconing. This is a good omen for those waiting to get their hands on WUSB gear, now that Windows logo requirements are set, hopefully we will start seeing devices hit the market more quickly.
