UWB, or Ultra Wideband, hubs are finally starting to hit the commercial market with Y-E Data being first to market in Japan with their newly approved hub. Based on the Wisair chipset the Y-E Data UWB hub received the TELEC certification and it holds the distinction of being the first product to receive the Japanese certification. The hub is a four port wireless design that can seamlessly replace USB connections with a wireless one, allowing devices like printers, scanners, external hard drives and more to be placed anywhere in a room. The data is transmitted from a USB dongle connected to the peripheral to the hub which is attached to your PC via a wired USB connection. About Everything USB
