Yamaha NX-U10 20 Watt USB Speakers

  January 18th, 2007

WE RECOMMEND

Yamaha may be more known for motorcycles than USB powered speakers but that didn’t stop them from showing off their newest speaker set called the NX-U10 at CES last week. These speakers have 20W of sound distributed between two speakers pushing 10W each, which is a big deal considering that most USB powered speakers can only output a max of 2W like the Logitech v20 laptop speakers. To use the speakers requires only one USB cable from your PC and you can also connect your iPod or other MP3 player to the speakers via a 3.5mm headphone jack. If you don’t have your PC handy the speakers can also be battery powered. Pricing is set at 149 pounds (about $293 dollars) and availability is set for later this year.
