Nexcopy's USB Copy Protection Makes DRM'ing Files Easy
In situations where you might like to distribute files on flash drives with varying degrees of content protection, it could be a headache since the solution must be sophisticated yet flexible enough to create different layers of usage restrictions. Nexcopy now offers something just for that. Aptly called the USB Copy Protection, it is basically a DRM-protected flash drive that works together with a free software to secure data in various methods.

For example, you can exclude files so that they can no longer be deleted, copied and printed. The duplication limit inherently extends to clip board, meaning users cannot even copy and paste text from files after opening them. In addition, you can set an expiry date on the files so they couldn't be accessed after a certain period of time. Nexcopy's cross-platform solution will also work when there's no admin right and the copy protection license does not expire.

Nexcopy, as of this writing, only supports a limited number of file types, including PDF, TXT, HTML and CSS for documents; JPEG, GIF and PNG for pictures; MP3 and WAV for audio; and lastly, WMV and MOV for video. To load content onto the CopySecure flash drives, you will need Nexcopy's in-house utility which allows you to create three drives at a time. Or you can go with a USB duplicator like the Nexcopy's USB200PRO.
